What is Rift
Rift is the new MMORPG game. It is produced by Trion Worlds. A Rift is a crack in the Ward, the barrier that protects Telara and keeps the peace. These Rifts develop where the Planes of Telara intersect and allows outer planes to intrude on your world. When a Rift develops, the people of Telara must reseal it and they do this by defeating the invading monsters.
The invasion is in stages and the monsters in each stage is more powerful that the previous. The Rift stages become progressively harder and the later stages include a timer. Once you complete a stage in the required time, you advance to a bonus stage. This is also timed. If you do not complete a stage within the time limit, you are not allowed to progress to the next stage. For best result, the timed stage should be done by more than one player working together. This way you will easily complete this stage within your time constraint.
Rift brings a fresh and novel dynamics to MMORPG games. It creates a new level of intensity and game play to the existing games such as WOW, WAR, AION, or LATRO. There is little to fault in this new game. It is the first game that from launch has started off practically bug free and seamless. Trion world seems bent on making this game better and better. And if the first few months are anything to go by, this game will be an astounding success. I rate it 9.5 out of 10. Reviews from major gaming sites, rate Rift, Planes of Telara very high.
The character class system and the dynamic layered world, is one important element of the Rift, Planes of Telara game that makes it stand out heads above all other MMORPG experience. The remarkably good graphics are also one aspect of the game that improves your experience. It just simply blows other MMO’s out of the stratosphere.
Rift allows you to specialise in different areas such as Ranged DPS or tanking. No other MMO allows this. This is a bonus because it does not tie you to a specific or single role.
